I’m changing things up. Welcome to the new Vibe Check!

If you’ve worked with me, or have spent time with me, you know I’m inspired by everything: reading, art, poetry, the stars, music, memes. We’re in Leo season, and the last Vibe Check was all about leadership, authentic voice, and being courageous. Presence over perfection.

You may also know (if not, here we go…), I basically live inside the music of The Smashing Pumpkins. The lyrics of The Imploding Voice have haunted me since the song was released in 2000. The song is an ode to finding your voice, and even in tough times—using it. This hits perfectly for our Leo energy:

Play the part of who you are.

With the remixed version of Vibe Check, I’m bringing more of my authentic, just who I am, energy.

What does that mean?

I want to do more of what lights me up, what I lose track of time doing, what I can talk about for hours, and what I feel good doing. It’s sharing ideas. It’s talking about consciousness. It’s being inspired by art, culture, music, and concepts.

So, the new vibe of Vibe Check?

Inspiration. Theories. Discussion. Astrology. Art. Psychology. Business. Symbolism. Philosophy. And just to be clear, probably a lot of Smashing Pumpkins.

All of it.

We won’t be following the lunar cycles as closely, but we’ll still be tracking what the moon and stars are up to, and surely there will be just as many Vibe Checks throughout the month. Probably more.

So, what now?

Let’s take our cue from the current astrology: we’re deep into Leo season, with a spin of the full moon in Aquarius, and Mercury is still retrograde.

The Vibe is:

Leo season: Playing the part of who you are.

→What does playing your authentic part mean?

Aquarius full moon: Feel full in your individuality, and your role within the collective. Within society. In life. To yourself.

→What’s your part in the the bigger picture? In society?

Mercury retrograde: Trying, failing, trying again, redirecting, redirecting…

→What does it mean to keep trying, go with the flow, and let go of control?
